Interactive Story: D.B. Cooper
For this project, our class was tasked with capturing a story of our choosing on Figma. I chose the story of D.B. Cooper, as it has always fascinated me:

On November 24, 1971, a man using the alias Dan Cooper bought a plane ticket from Portland to Seattle. What seemed like a normal flight took a dramatic turn when he revealed a bomb (later suspected to be fake) and hijacked the plane. He demanded $200,000 and parachutes, which he received upon landing in Seattle. In a daring move, he then ordered the plane to be refueled and flown towards Mexico City.  Somewhere between Seattle and Reno, he parachuted out with the money, vanishing into the night. Despite an extensive search, Cooper was never found, leaving behind one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in American history.
To begin planning, I came up with a color palette by utilizing the website Coolors, a color palette generator. I wanted 4 colors, 2 primary and 2 secondary. After browsing various palettes, I came across a combination of colors I felt would accurately go with my story:
Next, I looked at typography. I wanted the main font I chose to follow certain guidelines:
- Sans serif (easier to read on screens)
- Able to convey the seriousness of the story
- Multiple styles that I can use throughout the project (light, bold, etc.)

Following these guidelines, I decided on the font Futura, a geometric sans-serif typeface as it is also very modern and clean looking.

In an effort to make some of my components seem handwritten, I chose another font that looked as if someone had literally written notes. For this, I chose the font Gaegu.

After deciding on the color palette and typography, I made a mood board for inspiration on Pinterest for the content of my interactive story:
Next, I sketched out some ideas for how I want the content to look on Figma:
To begin, I created graphics in Adobe Illustrator that would be incorporated into my story:
Next, I created the designs of the various pages:
